WORKPLACE VIOLENCE PREVENTION POLICY

Purpose and Scope
This Workplace Violence Prevention Policy ("Policy") is established to maintain a safe work environment for all employees by preventing workplace violence and addressing threats or acts of violence that may occur on Company premises or during the conduct of Company business. This Policy applies to all employees, contractors, vendors, visitors, and other individuals present on Company property or engaged in Company business, regardless of location, and is governed by all applicable federal laws and regulations.
Definitions
For purposes of this Policy:
Workplace Violence includes, but is not limited to: physical assaults, threats of violence (direct or implied), intimidation, harassment, bullying, stalking, fighting, possession of weapons on Company property (except where permitted by law), property damage, or any other conduct that causes fear for safety.
Threat means any verbal or physical conduct that communicates an intent to cause harm to people or property.
Zero Tolerance Statement
The Company maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward workplace violence. Any act or threat of violence committed by or against any employee, customer, supplier, partner, or visitor is strictly prohibited and will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment, and may also result in criminal prosecution.
Prohibited Conduct
Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:
Fighting or engaging in threats of violence
Use of vulgar, abusive language including, but not limited to, curse words, insults, sexually explicit talk, racial slurs
Horseplay, practical jokes, or disorderly conduct that may endanger others or damage property
Possession of firearms, explosives, or other weapons on Company property, except where expressly permitted by federal law
Stalking or harassment of any kind
Intentional destruction of Company property or another person's personal property
Reporting Procedures
All employees are responsible for reporting any threats or actual violence that they observe or experience at work. Reports should be made to:
Immediate supervisor
Human Resources Department
Security personnel
Management
Reports may be made confidentially to the extent possible. The Company will not retaliate against any employee who makes a good faith report concerning violations of this Policy.
Response Procedures
The Company will promptly and thoroughly investigate all reports of threats, actual violence, suspicious individuals, or activities. The Company will use discretion and take all reasonable steps to protect the confidentiality of the individual making a report in order to maintain workplace safety and the integrity of the investigation. The Company may suspend employees, either with or without pay, pending investigation.
Enforcement and Disciplinary Action
Any employee, contractor, or worker who violates this Policy will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or engagement. To the extent a customer, vendor, or person with whom the Company does business engages in violent behavior or threats of violence, the Company will take appropriate action to remedy the situation.
Non-Interference with Employee Rights
Nothing in this Policy is intended to interfere with employee rights under federal or state laws, including rights protected by the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), nor will the Company construe this Policy in any way that limits such rights.
